Circle Of Savages

Circle Of Savages Circle Of Savages is a Lifestyle, Brand, Music Group and Family. Circle Of Savages is a Hip Hop Family brand born out of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Music brings people together, and the Freedom of Speech teaches to express one's self. To be able to express one's self is to save that person's mental health. We all struggle alone in this world, and pain is a universal language. Family is all about support. If you support "the COS" by purchasing our merchandise, you are also supporting our Artist's travel, meals, and accommodations. Not only are you investing in our artists, but you are also helping create opportunities in northern community workshops, programming, and events that teach the youth how to create their own music productions, and more! Indigenous Hip Hop Artist, Phurius Musik is the Founder and Team Leader of Circle Of Savages Family Movement. Coming up as a rez kid, and from the streets of his northern community, his ambitions and heart led him to create this unique Hip Hop Brand. Started as a dream in a conversation with a true brother, and it grew into a family with artists scattering all over Canada from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario!

My brother Sandman,

Although the years pass, I always think of you and all of the great times we shared together. It was an empowering and successful moment, and most of all, a privilege to be able to rock the stage with you. My first sold out show and I’ll never forget it! Sandman repping all the way from New Mexico to Saskatchewan.

Thank you my brother, for being understanding, being apart of the COS, and being one of my biggest supports. I always appreciated your time, and energy. I pray that you are enjoying the next chapter with your two boys. I will forever cherish your memory and name brother. I know you still got them rosaries I gave you, may they protect you in the next life.

May you all Rest in Peace Brother, I miss you dearly.

The oldest standing building in Saskatchewan was not built by settlers. It was built by the local Cree congregation — by hand, from hand-sawn timber, on the banks of the Churchill River in the northern wilderness.

Holy Trinity Anglican Church at Stanley Mission rises 23 metres at its spire, a Carpenter Gothic giant with 37 arched windows holding more than a thousand pieces of stained glass. It was designed by the Reverend Robert Hunt, an English missionary who founded the mission in 1851 with the Hudson's Bay Company's permission. Construction ran from 1854 to 1860. The hardware and the stained glass were shipped all the way from England; everything else — the post-and-beam frame, the mud-and-stone infill walls, the fieldstone foundation — was cut and raised by Cree craftsmen using local lumber and building methods of the West. The result is so grand that locals call it a cathedral, though no bishop ever sat here.

At its height the church anchored a thriving missionary complex of nearly 30 buildings and a cemetery. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1970 and a provincial heritage property in 1981. Services have been held here in Cree since the inaugural mass in 1860 — and remarkably, they still are. The mission's first minister, James Settee, was himself Cree, the second First Nations minister ordained by the Anglican Church in the Northwest. In 2010 the congregation celebrated the church's 150th anniversary; a few years earlier, federal and provincial grants paid for critical roof and foundation repairs to keep the old giant standing.

That this building exists at all is a genuine marvel: a wooden church raised in the 1850s in a place reachable then only by canoe and winter road, still holding worship in the language of the people who built it.

What is the oldest building you have ever stood inside?
