Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is excited for the workshop and session tomorrow. I know we are! We just wanted to send out a reminder that the session starting at 6 PM is completely free for all to attend, whether you attend the workshop or not; pipers, drummers, piobaireachd and music enjoyers, all are welcome!

Both the workshop and session are at the Princess of Wales' Own Regiment's armoury at 100 Montreal St, in downtown Kingston. There is very limited parking onsite, but there is some accross the st on the road. And there are paid city lots, the closest being near the corner of Queen St and Montreal St.

Entry to the armoury is at the south door, it will read Warrant's (WO's) & Sergeant's (Sgt's) Mess on it. Go up the stairs and to the left, and the mess is on your right. If you need accessible access, please DM us, and we will provide assistance.

See you all tomorrow!

Ian K workshop in Kingston – February 7

Just a reminder about our upcoming piobaireachd event on February 7 in Kingston — and we’d love to see you there.

We’re excited to welcome Ian K. MacDonald, an internationally respected performer, competitor, and outstanding instructor. Before our evening club gathering, Ian will be leading a piobaireachd workshop focused on musical insight, style, and technique.

The workshop is best suited to pipers with a basic foundation in piobaireachd, with an emphasis on shared learning rather than perfection. If you’re looking to deepen your understanding and grow as a piper, this is a great opportunity.

🎟️ Tickets are still available here:

Shoutout to our fiends at the New Brunswick Piobaireachd Club! Seeing what they have accomplished inspired us to start our own piobaireachd community here in Kingston.

Piobaireachd clubs and community societies are popping up worldwide, and the Canadian province of New Brunswick is no exception. Colton Patterson contributes the story of the NB Piobaireachd Club and how easy it is to organize your own non-competition, performance-based group to celebrate ceol mor.
