Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Nicole from Cantina Del Centro Kelowna, winner of our 2025 Okanagan’s Finest: Bartending Excellence Award!

As Bar Manager at Cantina, Nicole leads beverage direction and training while bringing plenty of creativity and personality to the bar. Her drink of choice? A Naked and Famous, or anything with a little whimsy and a hint of nostalgia. When it comes to food, she’s a self-proclaimed soup lover (ramen, specifically), but at Cantina, it’s the Baja shrimp tacos—without hesitation.

Nicole describes Cantina as a fun, vibrant restaurant built for everyone, with a backbar featuring an impressive collection of both popular and rare agave spirits. Inspired by the flavours of Mexico, it’s a place to let your shoulders down, enjoy great food, and, according to Nicole, get the best marg in town!

For one evening, the people who spend so much of their time creating memorable experiences for others became the ones being celebrated.

The laughter, the conversations, the reunions, the red carpet moments—it was a reminder of just how much talent, passion, and heart exists within the Okanagan hospitality community.

Hi, it’s us - Kristin & Teighan 👋🏼

The two behind Peaks to Vines. What started as an idea to celebrate Okanagan’s hospitality industry has turned into something bigger than we imagined, truly the adventure of a lifetime. Behind the event is just the two of us working to create something special for this industry and the people in it.

While we may not technically be a “wellness fair,” we’re out here creating our own lane and building an event that brings the hospitality community together in a meaningful way.
