Hey friends. Just checking in.

For anyone curious where new episodes have been well... we did take a bit of a break. While both of us are priorizing health for our break 💪, we are also working on a big project. One we hope will be a huge help to any GMs out there like us that want to give their brains a much needed break and follow a process.

The Story Grid by Shawn Coyne is one of those books you hear us reference from time to time. The truth is, some part of it is underneath everything we talk about because it's an incredibly valuable book for any GM, as it that teaches you how most of the best stories are structured.
The danger is you'll start to notice where really satisfying or necessary story beats are missing in other TTRPG campaigns and other med. You'll begin to wonder how certain movies with bazillion dollar budgets even got green-lit with huge gaping holes in their stories.
For us... this is a must read and one of the books that is NEVER on any GM book lists.

We got a copy of Tales Tavern for our shelves the mail! Thank you so, so much this book is such a triumph. Every next page is an "I wish I'd thought of that". There is something you can just feel in a book everyone put their "A" game into.

We've sat in our recording room ranting about what a good adventure book needs to be and this is everything! All of it. Loveable intriguing NPCs and short adventures that feel personal to them. Details that are perfectly needed and none that aren't.

A huge round of applause to everyone who contributed to this brilliant book. it's the best Anthology book we've ever held. 👏 👏 ❤💯

Thanks to our shift to bi-weekly releases we were finally able to get out camping with our friends. Thanks for your continued support even though it means fewer episodes per month. Hopefully you see an increase in quality, or at the very least, coherence. Also go tell your favorite creator to relax, they'll work themselves into an early grave to please the people that support them. Thanks a million!

Going to take a crack at this Instagram thing again. Someone... anyone, we are terrible at social media.
This goblin episode turned out to be a lot more fun than we anticipated. Sometimes we know an episode is going to be good, and other times we discover it along the way as the ideas start flowing. We love us some goofy dumb-dumb goblins but they can and should be deadly enough when you need them to be.
