Made in Brazil is a Brazilian group based in the Okanagan valley and composed by musicians Miriam Cunha (voice and DWI) and Viviane Gemelgo (Keyboard). Both Brazilian musicians met in Kelowna a couple of years ago and decided to share their passion for Brazilian and Latin music, as well as Jazz and Pop north American music. Miriam comes from a family of famous and accomplished Brazilian musicians,
and grew up listening to boleros, samba, bossa nova, and other jazzy and romantic tunes along with her father and his group (Trio Irakitan). Since young she developed a deep love for music and performing on stage. Pianist Viviane has a background on classic music and used to play with big orchestras in Brazil for parties, events, and shows. Her great passion for music can be heard at each musical note she plays, which is fully embedded by her Brazilian musical background culture. Together they perform a variety of Latin music in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and English, including bossa nova, samba, boleros, jazz, pop, and more, and would love to invite you to immerse with them in the beauty of Latin music.
