Celebrating 3 Years of Le Corbeau et Le Renard

This weekend, we’re delighted to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of our neighbours and friends, Le Corbeau et Le Renard.

To mark the occasion, Le Collectif will be open all weekend and featuring a beautiful collection of vintage artwork throughout the space. You’ll also discover special discounts throughout the boutique.

Join us tonight for a 5 à 7 hosted by Erika and Stéphane of Le Corbeau et Le Renard as they celebrate this milestone and thank the community for its continued support.

Hours this weekend:
Friday: 10am–7pm (5 à 7 upstairs at Le Collectif)
Saturday: 10am–5pm
Sunday: 10am–5pm

Cette fin de semaine, nous sommes ravis de souligner le 3e anniversaire de nos voisins et amis du Corbeau et Le Renard.

Pour l’occasion, Le Collectif sera ouvert tout le week-end et présentera une magnifique sélection d’œuvres d’art vintage à travers l’espace. Vous y trouverez également plusieurs rabais dans la boutique.

Introducing Pressed Blooms: A Botanical Art Workshop with Bijal Shah, artist and floral preservationist.

In this brand new hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the timeless art of flower pressing using fresh blooms and traditional preservation techniques. Participants will explore botanical composition and create two finished take-home pieces using delicately pressed flowers.

A thoughtful and creative afternoon focused on slowing down, working with natural materials, and creating something beautifully lasting.

All materials included. Open to all levels.

Découvrez Fleurs pressées : atelier d’art botanique avec Bijal Shah, artiste et spécialiste en préservation florale.

Dans ce tout nouvel atelier pratique, vous apprendrez l’art intemporel du pressage floral à partir de fleurs fraîches et de techniques traditionnelles de préservation. Les participants exploreront la composition botanique et créeront deux œuvres finalisées à partir de fleurs délicatement pressées.

Un moment créatif et inspirant pour ralentir, travailler avec des matériaux naturels et créer quelque chose de beau et durable.

Due to an incredible amount of interest, we’re excited to open a second date for Allison’s Intuitive Landscape Painting class.

If you missed the first session, this is your chance to join us this Sunday, May 31st, from 1:00–4:30pm.

Explore a loose, expressive approach to landscape using inks and high-flow acrylics on paper, and discover how to build atmospheric, semi-abstract compositions rooted in intuition rather than perfection.

En raison d’un grand engouement, nous sommes ravis d’ouvrir une deuxième date pour le cours de peinture de paysage intuitive d’Allison.

Always experimenting, always exploring.

One of my favourite parts of teaching is trying new ideas in the studio before they eventually become workshops. These spring florals inspired an afternoon of soft, watery techniques in watercolour. Loose layers, flowing colour, and learning to let go a little.

Spent the afternoon painting and experimenting alongside students in the studio, and I think this one may need to happen again 🌸

Toujours en train d’explorer et d’essayer de nouvelles idées.

Une de mes parties préférées de l’enseignement, c’est de tester de nouvelles approches au studio avant qu’elles deviennent éventuellement des ateliers. Ces fleurs printanières nous ont inspiré un bel après-midi d’aquarelle tout en douceur. Lavis fluides, couleurs légères et techniques plus libres.

Un après-midi à peindre et expérimenter ensemble au studio… et je pense qu’on devra refaire celui-ci 🌸

Un merci tout spécial à pour les magnifiques fleurs offertes qui ont inspiré tout l’atelier.

Behind the scenes at Le Collectif this week feels a little like controlled chaos in the best way.

We are deep in preparation for the 4th edition of Art de Vivre, coming this June at Le Verger Hudson Bio.

Floor plans, artist layouts, conversations, last minute ideas, and the quiet excitement that builds every year when we start to see it all come together.

This event has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined at the beginning. It is part art exhibition, part gathering, part shared creative effort between artists, makers, and our community.

There is something special about this stage before the doors open. Everything still in motion. Everything becoming.

We cannot wait to share it with you.

Dans les coulisses de Le Collectif cette semaine, c’est un beau mélange de chaos organisé.

Nous sommes en pleine préparation de la 4e édition d’Art de Vivre, qui aura lieu en juin au Verger Hudson Bio.

Plans d’aménagement, disposition des artistes, conversations, dernières idées et cette excitation tranquille qui revient chaque année quand tout commence à prendre forme.

Cet événement est devenu beaucoup plus grand que ce que nous avions imaginé au départ. C’est à la fois une exposition, un rassemblement et une création collective entre artistes, artisans et communauté.

Il y a quelque chose de spécial dans ce moment avant l’ouverture. Tout est encore en mouvement. Tout est en train de devenir.

Nous avons très hâte de vous le partager.

Join us at Le Collectif for Painting Flowers in Pastel: Three Ways of Seeing with Montreal artist Susanne Strater.

Sunday, May 17 | 1:00 PM–4:30 PM

Explore the beauty of floral drawing and painting through three pastel approaches: contour drawing, shape-by-shape construction, and working from general composition to refined detail. A thoughtful and accessible workshop for both beginners and experienced artists.
