The last few weeks have been full: fashion and live performances with Mystic Masquerade, a weekend in Lethbridge at Coulee Clash, and Canada’s first-ever rookie buhurt tournament at the Millarville Medieval Faire.

It has been a whirlwind start to the 2026 season, full of smiles, steel, laughter, storytelling, and fantastically unforgettable humans.

And the story continues.

Next up, Gorvin of Tallwood will be guiding guests through "Mystic Mingle - Charity Showcase", an afternoon festival of live entertainment, community, family fun, and support for local charity.

Some evenings are simply attended.

Others invite you into another world entirely.

Tomorrow night I’ll be serving as MC for Mystic Threads: A Rococo Reimagining, part of the Mystic Moonlight Masquerade campaign in Calgary. Expect fashion, artistry, cocktails, performances, masks, elegance, and a touch of mystery woven through the entire evening.

And yes... I’ll be wearing one of the featured designs myself while guiding the journey.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to dress up, disappear into something unforgettable, and support some truly meaningful causes along the way, this is it.

I’m kicking off my 2026 season on Wednesday night with the first event of the Mystic Moonlight Masquerade campaign!

Mystic Threads – A Rococo Reimagining is shaping up to be an unforgettable evening of fashion, performances, cocktails, artistry, and bold imagination. I’ll be your MC for the night, leading you on the Silk Roads to Discovery ... and yes, I’ll be proudly wearing one of the featured designs while doing it.

“Now it’s your turn.”

That’s when their eyes go wide.

I may be a Saxon, but for over a decade I’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with the Ulfraendi.

Not as one of them.

As the voice that helps others step into their world.

I’ve watched them live under canvas, cook over open flame, and call the herds with haunting kulning that stops a crowd in its tracks.

I’ve stood behind the shield wall as steel met steel ...
.. and then assembled an army of wild-eyed children to face it down.

That’s where the Ulfraendi and Gorvin of Tallwood will be, bringing you back in time.

Not to watch. To be a part of it.

While the Jarl knows never to turn his back on the bard, nothing is more fearsome than four dozen tiny Vikings charging the field.

If you ever find yourself near the Ulfraendi, don’t just watch.

Step in.

I’m very pleased to be returning to the Mystic Moonlight Masquerade Ball & Gala Fundraising Campaign for its second year.

This is a series of events designed to bring people together—not just for an experience, but for impact.

Across the campaign, funds are being raised to support organizations working in areas that matter deeply to me:

Mental health support
Gender and domestic violence
Addiction support
Food accessibility
Community and outreach services
…and more

I’ll be appearing at select events throughout the year as Gorvin of Tallwood—immersed in fashion, music, food and dance, celebrating humanity, diversity and culture.

Gorvin draws people into the moment, into the adventure, and into each other.

In a campaign like this, that connection matters.
