My youngest nephew, Evan, has officially graduated Kindergarten! 💙🎓⭐️

This little cap was made especially for him. Beaded with his name, graduation year, and Creepers from Minecraft, because they’re his absolute favourite. This is my second beaded grad cap, and creating these special pieces has quickly become something I love.

Evan, future Class of 2038 graduate, I cannot wait to watch you grow into whoever Creator intends you to be. You carry the strength, resilience, and teachings of those who came before you. Your path may not always be straight, and life may not always look the same as everyone else’s, but you will never walk alone. You are loved by a village that stands behind you, celebrates your victories, and will always be there when you need us. I’m so proud of you!

This auntie has been extra emotional lately. 🥺 Watching our babies grow up happens far too quickly. My nieces and nephews may not be my own children, but they hold a piece of my heart all the same.

Completing two beaded grad caps for two of my favourite little people in the same week has been exciting, inspiring, exhausting, and such an honour.

I’ve been so motivated by these projects that I’ve decided I’d like to donate one completed beaded grad cap every year to a deserving graduate. If anyone knows of a local organization, school, or program that could help make this happen, please reach out.

And to the Class of 2027 graduates - if a custom beaded grad cap is something you’ve been dreaming of, I’d be honoured to take on the challenge. 🎓⭐️

Our Lainey Bug 🐞 has officially graduated. Congratulations Lainey on this huge milestone. I am so proud of you. Watch out world, she’s coming.

Some may not know this, but Lainey is my oldest niece. The first born grandchild on both sides of her family. She was born when I was only 10 years old, so she’s always felt more like a little sister than a niece. We really grew up side by side. I still laugh thinking about us playing mermaids with Barbies, putting socks on their feet to make little makeshift tails 😭 From those little moments to watching her walk across the stage at graduation… it’s hard to put into words how proud and emotional this all feels for me. Watching her grow into the beautiful, smart, kind young woman she is today has been such a gift.

Lainey, never forget who showed up for you consistently, loved you loudly, protected you, and believed in you even in the hardest moments. Success is sweeter when you remember the hands that helped carry you there. You are deserving of every good thing coming your way, no matter who failed to remind you of that along the way.

This is also my very first beaded grad cap that I’ve been trusted to create, and I was so honoured it was for her. I wish I had even more hours in my days because I had so many ideas for customization, but I’m honestly so proud of how this turned out. The ladybugs on the sides were a must because that’s been her nickname in our family forever. 🐞

I would absolutely love to continue making beaded grad caps in the future.

Lainey gave me creative freedom with the cap, so I decided to make matching beaded ladybug earrings to match. They also feature black obsidian for the black spots on the ladybug earrings, for protection. Remember.. they’re sisters, not twins 😋😆

To the Class of 2026 - carry yourselves in a good way. Walk proud, stay humble, protect your spirit, and remember where you come from. The world will try to rush you, harden you, and tell you who to be. Don’t let it take the softness, humour, and fire that make you who you are.
Your ancestors dreamed of days like this.

🎀 Embroidered Bow Beaded Trucker Hat 🎀

Pink beaded trucker hat featuring:
✨ Pearl hat chain with 3 removable bow charms
✨ Matching pearl beaded earrings

This was my first time beading a hat, and I honestly didn’t know exactly where the design would take me when I started.

I sat down with grid paper and created the bow pattern myself, inspired by cross-stitch designs. My original idea was pink stripes all the way around the hat, but halfway through planning I realized I might run out of beads. Instead of forcing the idea, I let the design change and the bow ended up becoming the heart of the piece.

Seeing the finished hat with the pearls, bow charms, and beadwork all together, I’m honestly really proud of how everything turned out.

🍒🍓 Beaded Moosehide Wallets 🍓🍒

I’m absolutely in love with how these wallets turned out. I was honestly tempted to keep the strawberry one for myself 🤭 It even has the cutest strawberry fabric lining inside to match.

These are the third and fourth moosehide wallets I’ve made, and the progress I’ve seen in my beading, cutting the hide, and hand-sewing has been unreal. Every piece teaches me something new, and it’s exciting to see my skills grow with each one. I included photos of my first and second moosehide wallets at the end so you can see the progress.

🍓 Strawberry Stud Earrings 🍓

Ever since purchasing my first pair of beaded strawberry earrings back in 2022, I’ve been eager to create them in my own way. If you didn’t know this about me.. I’m obsessed with strawberries.

I made four strawberry stud earrings. They’re small, sweet, and perfect for a summer look. These will be available soon at the museum.

A huge thank you to McKenzie Crossroads Museum & Visitor Centre.

And a special thank you to Kayla Wardley. She has been so amazing throughout my beading journey, always encouraging me even before the museum began purchasing my work.

This order was a big one, but I was ready to take on the challenge. There were many obstacles along the way, but I was able to complete projects I’ve been dreaming about. Thank you, Kayla, for trusting me and allowing me the creative freedom to explore new ideas. Opportunities like this really open your mind to new experiences.

Thank you for supporting this local Indigenous small business. Five years ago I never imagined this would become my full-time work. I had doubts along the way, but my heart is full doing something I truly love.

❤️ Red Dress Pins ❤️

These are my first ever Red Dress pins I’ve made since starting beadwork, and it was truly an honour to create them.

They were made as a custom order for the Mackenzie Crossroads & Visitor Centre in High Level, Alberta and will be available for purchase when they open next weekend.

May 5th is recognized as MMIW/MMIWG Awareness Day (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls). A day to remember, honour, and bring awareness.

Take the time to listen, learn, and educate yourself on the realities Indigenous communities continue to face.

What an incredible weekend at the High Level & District Trade Show 2026!

A huge thank you to the High Level & District Chamber of Commerce for hosting such an amazing event for our community. So much work goes on behind the scenes to make something like this happen, and we’re grateful to have been part of it.

The connections we made this weekend were genuine and the support we felt at our booth was incredible. So many of you stopped by with compliments about our booth, our vendors, and the work we’re doing. I heard every single one of you, and it truly meant more than you know.

A special thank you to Mayor Josh Lambert for the support and for helping make our booth possible this weekend. We truly appreciate your encouragement for local businesses and the role you play in supporting community events like this. It means a lot to be part of a town that shows up for its entrepreneurs.

Huge thank you to my cousin Taylor for taking on the challenge and jumping right in to help us plan, set up, help customers, and tear everything down. Our one and only casual part-time girly 🤭

And to my partner in crime Natasha - thank you for always putting up with my chaos and taking on every challenge I throw your way. Last minute she whipped up the Pink Ladies banners, stickers, and so much of the advertising for our front table at the trade show. Your creativity and willingness to jump in wherever needed made a huge difference. We truly couldn’t have made this happen without you.
