Major Fallout 4 mod can't be played on Epic Game Store versions of the game

The upcoming Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 won't be compatible with the Epic Games Store version of Bethesa's RPG at launch.
Speaking to VG247, a spokesperson for GOG revealed players who bought the game on the EGS will be unable to access the mod. This issue appears to be specific solely to the EGS, while Steam players can play it by downgrading their version of Fallout 4 to before Bethesda's next-gen update.
A version rollback option isn't typically required when developers choose storefronts. But this situation highlights why the feature should be considered, particularly for games with lively communities.

Nintendo financials show the post-Zelda comedown is real

Nintendo reported a downturn in both net sales and operating profit over the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
The company saw net sales decrease by 46.5 percent year-on-year to 246.6 billion yen ($1.68 billion), while operating profit decreased by 70.6 percent to 54.5 billion yen ($371.6 million). Profit attributable to owners of parent fell by 55.3 percent to 80.9 billion yen ($551.6 million).
There are some predictable—but nonetheless interesting—reasons for that downturn. For starters, the Nintendo Switch is more than eight years old and that means hardware sales are dwindling.

Studio Imugi is ditching 'oatmeal' narrative design with Bonaparte-A Mechanized Revolution

Bonaparte–A Mechanized Revolution is the upcoming steampunk-infused 4X strategy title from Studio Imugi, the Canadian studio established by former Kitfox Games and Sabotage developers back in 2021.
The indie outfit has been quietly chipping away on the project since the pandemic, securing vital funding in the form of grants from the Canadian government and Ubisoft, scaling up from three co-founders to eight employees, implementing a four-day work week, and mulling over how they can punch above their weight in a genre dominated by juggernauts like Paradox, Firaxis, and more.
Speaking to Game Developer at Gamescom 2024, creative director Jongwoo Kim explains Bonaparte will empower players by ensuring they don't "railroad" them into choices.
