We had fun performing a couple of songs for the ScotianAires last night at their Winter dinner celebration. Cathy also sang with her new quartet, Hot Flash, and Adele performed with Harmony Queens, Synergy! It was a great evening! 😁

For years, Mek was our fifth ear. She came to every rehearsal, knew all our music, and was the fifth member of our quartet! She shared so much of her knowledge and support with us, but also kicked us up the rear when we needed it!
We are so sad to have learned of her passing today, and we send our heartfelt condolences to David and all of Mek's family and friends.

Fun! :)

Tonic quartet have been singing together for over 12 years, and love performing around the Maritimes. Mickey (Tenor), Marion (Lead), and Cathy (Baritone) are all members of the ScotianAires Chorus in Halifax, and Adèle (Bass) is the Director of the Valley Voices. They are happy to be our Summer Sing Week 2 Featured Quartet!

Another couple of months have passed since our last post but unfortunately, the health gods have continued to be against us. Nevertheless, we had a blast together today! We sang through some of our old favourites, worked on a new song, and celebrated Adèle's birthday which was at the beginning of May. We are looking forward to seeing all our Area 1 friends at AC&C very soon! ❤️

Congratulations to our awesome Baritone, Cathy, on her wonderful performance with her chorus, Music City Sound this weekend at the Area 6 AC&C in Orlando, FL. Tonic is so proud of you! A third place medal plus a qualifying score for Harmony, Inc. International in November! Woot! Woot!

Well, it's been a while, and we've all been 'down and out' with the flu over the past month or so, but finally all four of us were able to get together today! We sang a bit, (not too much on recovering voices), chatted a lot, and celebrated Marion's birthday, which was yesterday!

Here is our HI-Story!
Since 2012, Tonic! has enjoyed performing for many audiences throughout Atlantic Canada, as well as competing both regionally and internationally. Tonic! has also proudly represented Harmony Inc.’s Area 1 as Quartet Champions from 2015 through 2019. At the 2018 International Convention and Contest in Orlando, FL, Tonic! was thrilled to receive fifth place medals as well as the 'Image of Harmony Award' for service within the organization and the wider community.
Although no longer competing together, Marion, Cathy, Mickey and Adèle still love learning new music, singing and performing together and representing HI.
