As we celebrate this Christmas season, and enjoy the company of friends & family, we  reflect on this year- the small beginnings,  the small milestones we achieved with starting the business afresh, rebranding from to .lesisi. Many of you may not know that I started creating these designs years ago.  At the time, it was more a passion project which eventually morphed into a business. The passion hasn't waned but my outlook has evolved. Starting afresh is not always easy but it may provide a better foundation for what you're trying to build.
So this year, we pressed the restart button, registered the business and started slowly....

We created various pieces; from wearable art to functional art pieces and our customized denim jackets, t-shirts, notebooks/journals & wall art found a place in your homes and hearts. This may not sound like a big deal for many but balancing everyday life, family and the complexities of building a business in an entirely new environment brought its challenges, and celebrate these chipping away at them little by little.

I think what I'm most  grateful for is YOU.  Your kind words, support, and trust. With each order,  you trusted us to deliver unique pieces that celebrate the fusion of modern aesthetic with our cultural heritage. From the USA to Scotland, Nigeria, England and Canada. You can't imagine our joy!

Perfection paralysis: That's what my friend told me was restraining me from posting videos about my designs.

I want things to be done perfectly, and there's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes, just do it, afraid... do it unsure; just do it!

For those in the back asking: Nope! This is not a Nike ad; it's just wise talk. 😆

So here I am sharing my passion for the vibrant African prints and the many ways we incorporate it in our designs. From t-shirts, jackets, journals, and everything in between, we find ways to customise unique, handmade pieces just for you with Ankara fabric.

Would you believe I designed this t-shirt in 2019? Yep! I actually did ☺️.

I've worn the life out of this t-shirt & if you look at the 2nd picture, you can tell, lol! But after the multiple wears and washes, it's still here in September, 2025, can you believe it!

I guess that speaks to the quality, which honestly gives me such great joy. It's particularly heartwarming when I see people who still have tshirts I designed for them a long time ago; tag me when they are out and about in their tshirts.

We're back on the grind, and yes, you can order your personalised-Ankara t-shirts one again.
