September, the month that carries us slowly towards the fading light.

Foggy mornings find us as the warmth of the lakes gives way to the cool air. Routine and ritual return. There is renewed focus, a familiar settling in as our bodies begin to find the rhythm of fall.

But September reminds us to stay free a little longer.

The days are still warm. The forest holds onto its deep green as the light begins to soften.

A month of holding on and letting go.

A few September stays remain, come watch the seasons change.

There’s something pretty special about sitting down to dinner with a table full of strangers.

Six couples joined us in the forest last night, most having never met before. They shared a four course end of summer meal, a few bottles of w**e, a lot of conversation, and somewhere along the way, a table of strangers became a table of friends.

This is exactly what we hoped Forest Feasts could be.

Thank you to everyone who took a chance on a seat at the table.

Every Forest Feast begins with the season.
This month’s menu celebrates the ingredients that define late summer in the Highlands.

Chef Matthew Thompson has created a four-course dinner inspired by the season at its peak—ripe tomatoes, sweet corn, orchard fruit, and thoughtfully sourced local ingredients.

Join us for an evening of seasonal cooking, shared conversation, and optional w**e pairings at The Hydda.

Saturday, August 29 • 6pm

Just twelve seats are available.

For one night, the forest becomes the venue.

On Thursday, July 23, we’re welcoming Benton Brown & The Lowdown to Hårtwood for our first forestside concert.

Just 50 tickets will be available for an intimate evening of live music beneath the trees. Arrive early for w**e, cocktails and seasonal plates at The Hydda before gathering around the fire as the sun sets.

The performance will also be professionally filmed and recorded live, making this a one-night-only collaboration between music, architecture and forest.

Tickets are on sale now. Link in bio.

We designed the treehouses to sit quietly in the landscape.

The forest does the rest.

Moving light.
Shifting shadows.
Changing seasons.
Passing weather.

No two stays are ever quite the same.
