I am pleased to announce that the registration for the 3rd year of the Pamati Children’s Choir in Guelph is now open for children ages 5-14.

*All children are welcome, regardless of musical experience. Our choir will focus on learning fundamentals of music, choral singing techniques and learning about our beautiful Filipino culture through songs in various Filipino languages as well as English.
We will study music from different genres, from folk songs, classical choral works, musical theatre and contemporary songs. We aim to prepare performances for cultural events and collaborations with other choirs and look forward to learning together.

Choir rehearsals will take place in the sanctuary of Dublin St. United Church in Guelph, 68 Suffolk St. W. Parking is available and free.

*This season, we will have a delayed start - likely at the end of October. Rehearsal day and time will be confirmed by October 1st.

Fees for the fall session are $100/singer, or $250/max per family; however, we want every child to be able to participate fully, and pay what you can/installment options are also available.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions through the choir email address, [email protected] and please like and follow our choir page.

We are excited for our upcoming performance at the 40th Annual Guelph Multicultural Festival, held at Riverside Park. The kids enjoyed learning basic Tinikling dance steps from Faiy Alcantara-Goze. Pamati Choir will perform at the Food Tent, on Saturday June 13th at 4:10PM, alongside our band, Megan Lehman, Erik Canaria, Dêńź Búrgöś Lèśmōräs, and Nick Stoup. We have a fun programme of music that we've performed this year, including Filipino folk songs, Beatles, S Club 7, SunKissed Lolas and our favourite arrangement of Veni, Veni Emmanuel. We look forward to seeing you there!

For the second year in a row, the Pamati Children's Choir was awarded the Best Community Choir Trophy at the Kiwanis Music Festival! In addition to these top honours, our choir also received nominations for the Ontario Music Festival Association Provincials, and a $150 scholarship. Congratulations to each and every one of the singers for their consistent hard work over the past year... we are so proud of you!

Special mentions go out to Isabelle Goze, Gabriele Lesmoras, and Lila Gregorio-Stoup, who received top marks in their individual classes, as well as nominations for the Provincial Festival. Stay posted for their performances at the OMFA finals in June!

What a tremendous experience it was for us to participate in Junior Treblefest 2026, alongside some of the finest children's choirs in the area! It was such a joy to work with Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, Grammy award-winning artistic director of the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, and to sing in the mass choir together with the other choirs. We enjoyed singing Dandansoy with KW Sentro and Dion Flores, accompanied by our wonderful pianist Megan Lehman, and Erik Canaria. Special thanks to Ania Suri, Michael Denomme, and the Mississauga Children's Chorus for their superb organization of this inspirational event!
