Big News! 🚨 Northern Ontario’s fave holiday market is back for its 10th year this November 21 & 22nd! Ten years of cheerleading northern arts culture and spreading handmade joy. We have a few surprises up our sleeves and can’t wait to celebrate with all of YOU, our fabulous supporters & makers! ❤️

Be prepared for incredible handmade gifts, talented artists, creativity, community, great food, pop up musical performances and SO. MUCH. MORE! Will we see you there?

Happy back to school to all the parents and caregivers out there! It’s sad to see them go after a lovely summer, but it’s so nice to get back into a routine.

Now to drink a hot coffee (in my fave Amanda Payette mug) and get back at it! What are you looking forward to this season?

I had the pleasure of visiting Collective Impact, Anaphore Sudbury’s first ever art exhibition this past Friday and it was inspiring to say the least!

So many incredible artists across a huge variety of media including a short film & a poetry reading. So happy to see our creative community growing & expanding all the time! Be sure to follow Anaphore so you don’t miss their next project!

We’re so excited to welcome Marisa Jarus to the Makers North Collective team as our Community & Partnerships coordinator 🙌

She’s super passionate, crazy smart and hilarious to top it all off. The perfect vibe for our handmade loving gang!

Marisa will lead sponsorships and help develop creative partnerships that connect local businesses with the makers community and shoppers who love buying local.

Outside of work, Marisa is rarely without her two little sidekicks, a strong coffee, and her Kindle. 📖

The Handmade Holiday market in November marks 10 years of Makers North! That’s 10 years of supporting handmade, connecting our community and loving creativity in the north! To say we’re proud is an understatement ❤️

We wanted to share a little bit about ourselves as we lead up to a fun announcement on Friday! So take a peek and get to know the women behind MNC. You can usually find us at an event hauling tables, cackling in a corner or being way too cheery first thing in the morning. That said, here’s a few other things we get up to when we’re not cheering on makers!
