Something wicked comes to the Black Box Theatre…🗡️👑

Macbeth opens tonight!

Guilt, ambition, and the corrupting pull of power make this Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy. In this bold new 6-person touring adaptation, the witches’ prophecy sets Macbeth on a path of murder, madness, and fate—encouraged by the ruthless Lady Macbeth. For one time only, we may safely speak “Macbeth” aloud in the Black Box Theatre.  This new version has been adapted & directed by Black Box Productions’ own Rhett Ellis.

Macbeth will be presented in the Black Box Theatre (located in James Dunn Hall, STU Campus.), March 26-28th, 2026. For more information or ticket enquiries, please email us at [email protected]!

THIS WEEK IN THE BOX!🪼💜

Playful and brave, candid and silly—The Jellyfish Show invites actors into the creative process. Through movement and text, the cast will explore how we compare and connect our lives with others, the comfort of chosen family, finding solace in ourselves… and how sometimes a play should be playful.

Written & directed by STU alum, Samuel Crowell, this development process will culminate in a public performance in the Black Box (James Dunn Hall, STU Campus) Jan 22-24, 2026. For more information or ticket enquiries, please email us at [email protected]

Show times: 7:30pm nightly, Saturday matinee: 2:00pm
Admission: Pay-What-You-Can. (Tickets available at the door.)

16+ Adult themes: colourful language and - though approached in a darkly comedic fashion - the play explores themes of su***de.
