I moved to Canada two years ago and work from my home studio in Fort Erie. I split my time between teaching, painting and exploring new creative outlets. I enjoy working in pen and ink mixed with watercolor as I love the unpredictability the water and ink creates but executed with intent- think organised chaos! I also work with other media including acrylics, collage, pastels, and pencils, but nothing makes me happier than splashing paint over a meticulously detailed pen drawing. I usually start with a particular medium in mind but often the process leads me to use a variety of materials to achieve the final piece. I take inspiration from the world around me and try to find the hidden gems in the mundane. My work is inspired by mood, current events or ideas which have been percolating for a while in my head.
