Having coffee watching a hot air balloon ( Mr. Rooters Plumbing) flying by in the early morning calm skies. I waited to take the picture when our flag was close to flying completely open. Beautiful foothills of Alberta! Have a great day 😊

This fully whimsical watercolour is titled “ The Branch Office”. Seven little sparrow fledglings are busy coordinating each other and the day. No reference other what is in my mind ( yes, that is scary for sure 😆). I exclusively used Beam Paints for this piece and love how the vibrancy of the pigments came together to create this wonderful baby feathered friends painting! And as has been happening recently, l thoroughly enjoyed going outside the 4 x 10 inch 300 gsm CP paper to expand the art onto the mat 🤩What do you think?

Finished this watercolour and acrylic ink painting. I love how the deer emerge from the luminous forest feels intimate and almost secretive, while the rabbit outside the mat opening creates the sense of a larger woodland world continuing beyond the frame! The title is “ Edge of the Thicket” and measures 8 x 10 matted to 11 x 14 inches. This painting reflects my deep connection to the natural world and honours the land, wildlife, and relationships we are privileged to experience. I hope to capture the quiet wonder of these shared spaces and invite viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us.

I tried something new…again! I made prints of my Mîskanâs painting before it sold last fall. I honestly can not believe the colour match & vibrancy of the prints. The cost is higher than standard prints however they are worth every penny 😊. This 11.5 x 15.25 inch copy was printed on textured Albrecht Dürer 210 gsm paper- so like watercolour paper. I decided to take some risk and enhanced the print with new watercolour pigment. The textured paper allowed the pigment to flow and blend. Once l was done painting the print, l brought the painting out onto the mat. I love how it turned out 💖. The framed dimensions are 16.75 x 20.5 inches. I will be bringing it to “Art on the Lawn” this Saturday in front of the Okotoks Art Gallery. The sale runs from 10-3 pm. Come see this piece, and the rest of wonderful art and artists at this fun outdoor show! 😀

Finished “Elbow Falls”, 16 in square acrylic on canvas in a floating frame. This is a special place l have visited since I was little. Being born in Calgary means growing up in the beauty all around southern Alberta. Although Elbow Falls itself has changed significantly since l was little, the feeling of standing in front of the falls has not ❤️. My dear friend Tracy and l recently visited the falls and she took the gorgeous reference picture for me
