Work in Progress Wednesday! 🎨

I had a little lightening bolt idea for a really colorful bookmark yesterday and couldn't turn my brain off until I sketched it out. Drawing took maybe 17 minutes because I needed to get it down on paper between snacks. Then I pushed off every other responsibility last night after the kids were in bed to start laying down the first couple layers 😅

Next steps are to add in some darker colored details, figure out how to colour in the white, ink shadows and details, then a wash off color on the back side!

Thinking this might make a great first printed bookmark?? 👀👌🏽

I did it, and I did it scared 🫣 I love love love taking commissions and hearing stories and painting special moments and memories...but if I've got a glimmer of hope of being able to continue to paint, I've got to get some reprintable material! And it just made the most sense for me to buy the fancy printer to do it myself!

'Whispers from Heaven' totally blew past my expectations and I only have a few prints left between Custom Signs, Home Decor, Keepsakes and here. I am SO grateful. I would love to be able to make more paintings both big and small to share with you 💓

So I guess all this to say, please don't get sick of me while I figure out this fancy piece of equipment. And keep your eyes peeled for my Etsy storefront launching sometime soon 👀

Special thank you to Epson Canada for making a printer and scanner that even this squirrel brained Mom can figure out. We're going to make wonderful things together 🤞🏽

Some Cardinals for Finished Friday ❤️

I love switching back and forth between traditional bookmark shapes to magnetic ones... Exercises my brain to figure out compositions on different layouts 😍

One last 'Whispers From Heaven' post! Better late than never because Villager Puzzles | Kelly | Support Women Artists is looking for new images from Canadian women artists! I love this company for what they do and stand for 💓 Also, how cool would it be to have a painting turned into a puzzle?? 😍

I still have some 4x6 prints available for sale! Message me if you're interested 🩷

A little teacher present 💜

Today my oldest graduates from kindergarten! He wanted to give a couple of presents and worked on the ideas and colors with me from start to finish. It makes me so happy to see him so interested in art and creating but most of all I'm happy that he is so kind-hearted 🥰
