Our gallery features the many works of Ronald Suchiu, all of which have been painted, printed, signed and numbered by him in his on-site studio and art lab. chiu to be signed by celebrity figures, such as: Sting, George Lucas, Jane Goodall, Dan Aykroyd and David Suzuki. In recent years, he has taken his celebrity collaborations a step further to immerse his well-known friends in the actual painting aspect of the art. Through Synergy Art, Suchiu has painted alongside “synergy partners” Dan Aykroyd, Prakash John, Jordan John, Daniel Victor, Spenny Rice, Dani Probert and Tony Gray. Each totally unique art piece produced by the duo-collaborations can be purchased from both our online store and retail gallery.

So, Art by the River 2026 has come and gone.

Saturday was a very nice day weather-wise and the crowds were quite good although Sunday set out quite rainy by two-ish things got a bit better.

Because we were within about a block or so away from the Navy Yard where the HMS Detroit was built way back in the early 1800's we decided to give a nicely framed limited edition one away as a free raffle for the show.

YES, THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE...

We do have a new podcast called ART UNDERSTOOD!

Of course, we will never understand everything there is to know about art and everything it is socially attached to. We sure are having an exciting new adventure and looking forward to some fun, casual conversations about the subject.

Each episode of the podcast will be posted every Thursday afternoon around 4 - 5 pm (in audio and video).

As usual, this podcast may take a couple of episodes to find its true voice, but boy are we having a good time journeying down this new path of relaying what is in our hearts when it comes to the enjoyment of art.

Here is an artwork that is certainly very different from what you have seen from me before.

I had been commissioned by one of our collectors to paint this piece in remembrance of the little doggy gazing at you through the windshield of the shiny blue Silverado pickup truck that she loved riding around in.

It's strange how life works out: we lost both of our puppies this year while the piece was on my easel, being painted.

Needless to say, I put quite a bit more time and love in the work than normal, simply out of my unwavering respect for all of our wonderful four-legged family members.

Hope you enjoy this one... we will have a high-speed video of the entire process coming out shortly.

We lost our little loving little Gary today.

It has only been 3 months since his twin brother Toby left us.

Needless to say this has been one of the toughest years of Colleen's and my life. But we will always struggle through with the very best attitude we can muster up.

Please... always feel free to stop in and say hi whenever you are near Essex. Remember you are also and always will be a great part of our family.

Please keep Gary in your prayers for us... was always such a gentle and trusting soul.

THE NEXT BOOK SKETCH...
Here we have the sketch for The Wizard of Art premier book #4 moving along at super high speed. Every one of the premier books will have their very own sketch added. The sketch will be documented in a register and when they are all complete we will produce a catalogue showing each one from number 1 to 250 in order.

WHAT'S NEW ON MY EASEL?

Now, after 55 years of incredible service to promoting our armed services, our faithful Snowbird's Tutor jets will be retired at the end of the 2026 airshow season.

Just imagine how dependable these aircraft have been in performing many thousands of takeoffs and landings over the past five-plus decades. Not to mention the possibly million or more high-stress maneuvers that have gone into their countless demonstrations for all those years.

What else in Canada deserves a proper dedication art piece more than this event?

The next video will show me completing the artwork for this project and will describe the unique, rare collectible frame display package we are currently designing.

PRAYERS FOR COLLEEN PLEASE!

Yes I will be attending Art in the Park this weekend but Colleen can't be there with me.

MY BEST BUDDY AND SOLE MATE IS IN THE HOSPITAL

Over the past few years, Colleen has developed a highly irregular heartbeat and at the moment, she is in a very scary situation.
Let's just call it the spring from hell, as she has so far in 2026 fought her way through three cases of pneumonia, yes ... that's three bouts. Now, after having her immune system beaten to a pulp, she picked up a nasty bacterial virus that has put her back in the hospital for the third time this year.

I am not looking for your sympathy, but I definitely would love to see you on the weekend, even just to chat for a few moments.
Please pass this on to all of our common friends.
