I painted this for Mother's Day, and was so busy spending time with my family that I forgot to post! I did, however, print & frame it for Mom, which is what really mattered.

Last year, my father was in ICU with covid pneumonia, & when he pulled through I was incredibly grateful. Despite a difficult past, I wanted a for our relationship based on mutual respect & an adult understanding of each other. This year, I realized I wanted the same thing with my mom - long before she ever lands in hospital. Living together after nearly 20 years apart has been challenging, but we grow everyday.

This isn't the only new beginning in my life, especially right now. As spring blooms into summer, I'm slowly emerging from . See you out there, fish friends!

One of my all-time favourite , the beautiful . This pretty girl was living on a farm with people who loved her dearly, but didn't have the capacity to provide the retraining & rehab she needed. Once she was settled in our home, I spent a lot of time building trust, and now she is a healthy, happy with only a smidgen of separation anxiety 🤣❤️

Her pink colouring reflects the deep, unconditional love that has grown between us, sassy personality, and social yellow collar. Though I no longer live with her, she'll always be my baby 😍😭🐾
