Thank you to everyone who came out to see some art. Your support was tremendous. Thank you to the artists who agreed to display their works, and the vendors who signed up for the market space. Thank you to the Old Stratchcona Performing Arts Centre for the rental of your amazing space, and to The Works for the rental of your gallery walls and plinths, it was a pleasure to work with you. Thank you to everyone who like, commented, and shared our posts.

The final artist is Tashina Makokis.

It me. The person behind this whole event. I have been working towards this for a year. I wanted to celebrate Indigenous art and showcase the work of artists I admire. I can't believe we're finally here. I hope to see you there.

⚡️Vendor Preview🌟

Today's vendor preview is Jules Thomas with Let's Learn Cree

Tansi! At Let's Learn Cree we create and develop Cree language learning materials in the Y dialect. Using basic Cree words that are written phonetically so anyone can pronounce the words how they are originally spoken. With brightly illustrated artwork these learning resources are fun for any age. We currently have 2 Volumes available, which contain 4 books and 2 sets of flash cards each. Volume 1 has Numbers in Cree, Animals in Cree, Tansi/Hello, and Commands in Cree. Volume 2 has Days of the week in Cree, Ceremony words in Cree, Numbers and Animals in Cree. We have also released our Volume 1 package in audio book format, and are currently working on an animated series of Cree learning fun!

🌟Artist Preview⚡️

This evening we have Benjamin Johnson from Benjijo Arts & Ceramics.

Born and Raised Samson Cree artist living in Edmonton, practicing and studying ceramics. “My work is a reflection of me and every person that I've ever met and have learned from. I will continue to learn as much as I can and move through my work in that way. From interactions with the world, people, nature, family, and culture. The things I really like making remind me of experiences I've had and places I've been and people I've met. I'm just working on showing that to people in different ways.”
