And just like that Scamway is closed for the 2025 !

It's always bitter-sweet to close a run of any show that you put on. It's been a ton of work with lots of laughs and sometimes tears. We at Cathexis Theatre are so proud of the work that we put up this year and feel so honoured to have shared it with our audiences and to have worked with some old and new faces this year.

Last night we also had a special guest in the audience. The local Edmonton Youtuber made it to our closing show! It was amazing to get to show off this wacky world of MLMs and cults to him and some of his fans last night.

Always Marco creates content that "Expos(es) Scammers and Schemers one at a time." He has done some amazing work exposing MLMs like the local Edmonton World Financial Group and some global heavy hitters like Amway, Monat and Arbonne. Definitely give his channel a follow on Youtube!

With that all said. We are still running our GoFundMe to help cover our production costs for this run of Scamway. All proceeds will be used to cover costs associated with putting up Scamway 2025 and will also allow us to continue bringing eccentric, brave new works to the Edmonton stage. Well we just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for all the fun this year. Our closing show is tonight at 6:30pm and we don't have any tickets left. We were absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of ticket sales over the last 48 hours for tonight.

There's still a chance that our volunteer tickets do not get taken for tonight so keep a close eye on our ticket page 1 hour before showtime and you might be able to snag a ticket or 2.

We are absolutely stoked to have our final audience tonight for this years Scamway performance. I'd say make sure to bring 2 friends so you can start your own pyramid, but we wouldn't have room for them 😜

If you can't watch the show in-person we will be livestreaming it to Youtube. All money donated to the GoFundMe will go to production costs and help us be able to bring more shows to the Edmonton Stage!
