February 3, 2024 Magpie Puppet Club (MPC) will perform at Lunar New Year Celebration at Kingsway Shopping Mall, Edmonton. The event is very well organized and there are lots of activities to do. The main stage has round the clock cultural performances. The admission is free.
This year, to welcome the Year of the Dragon, MPC has a new story titled "The Dragon King And His Nine Sons". We will have 10 to 12 volunteers working together to bring this legend to you. They are ranged from grade two elementary school to year four university students. We are fortunate to have Jia Jia Yong playing beautiful string music as the story unfolds. We have Niansheng Yang, an artist who illustrated pictures of these nine dragon princes. We are very excited to share this lovely story with you.
