Thank you for visiting my page. As my bio says, I am a proud Métis woman in Treaty 6.
I discovered my Métis heritage late in life and was so elated. I have always been fascinated with all cultural identity from around the World - the art, dance, costumes, clothing, food etc. I was not raised with any cultural identity and I craved one ever since I can remember. I LOVE the mosaic of people in the world ❤️
I was so happy when I discovered my Métis background and heritage. I DO have a cultural identity and a really awesome one at that! With this new awareness, I have been actively learning about my background & culture. It is important to embrace and learn everything I can and I believe my ancestors would be happy that a Métis voice woke up and is singing.
Above all, I enjoy creating, so beading seemed to be an obvious path of discovery. I took a few workshops and was hooked! Beading seems to have come naturally. I am self taught, watching a video tutorial or googling from time to time. I don’t always know proper terminology, so feel free to correct and teach me. I hope you enjoy my creations.
I’m also a gardener, nature lover, and hobby beekeeper, hence Queen Bead 💛🖤
