What’s a terpene? In simple terms, terpenes are the naturally occurring building blocks of taste and smell, and they’re in just about everything. Terpene profiles (the fancy way of saying the list of terpenes that make up a flavour or scent) are what distinguish something as common as a lemon or lime from a grapefruit! These profiles are studied, extracted, and used to create the scent and flavour profile of every day products, and are in everything from food to shampoo.

Rather than relying on artificial scents or flavouring, we use a natural custom terpene blend in all our products, sourced strictly from terpenes native to the cannabis plant - something no one else is doing in Canada. So even though our Calm Drops taste and smell like lavender, bergamot, vanilla, and mint, it’s actually just the botanical terpenes we add to compliment the h**p profile! Conscious Carrier | We consulted with retailers and consumers, and conducted extensive R&D before choosing a carrier for our products. With so many citing issues relating to to digestion, throat irritability, and other allergy related issues when using MCT (the most common carrier), we knew had to trial other options. Sunflower oil, with its lightness, came out on top! Beyond its practicality as a neutral carrier, it also aligned with our vision of finding a more sustainable alternative to MCT/palm Oil.

THC free | We’re not just a CBD product - we’re one of the first broad spectrum CBD products in Canada! The majority of CBD products on the market actually contain THC. For a non-psychoactive product, we felt it important to take the extra step to filter it out. In olden times, trying to filter out additional THC would’ve meant inadvertently removing precious minor cannabinoids. However, thanks to advancements in targeted extraction, we’re able to filter out THC while still offering the broadest spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes possible. Stayin’ close to the whole plant - just like we’ve always wanted.

Cannabinoid Profile:
Our Calm Drops, featuring CBD supported by CBG, are at the forefront of modern non-psychoactive formulations. CBG is a rare and minor cannabinoid typically found in levels below 1% in cannabis, but advancements in extraction have allowed us to target this non-psychoactive cannabinoid and utilize it in our fomulations.
