Prom is such a fun time… Working with finished dresses means working around 💎 already applied…
We looked at three hem options, added the front slit and made straps and a tie using the hem.

After my prep is completed for my clients today I will draft, cut and sew this pretty little number

For me, Design is being able to communicate with my clients and articulate our discussions into the outfit. Informed decisions, fabric choices and visualization are so important in this processes.

With my daughter around tonight, I can try the dress on her and make any adjustments needed. When creating an outfit for someone else (especially if doing the dress in a drape form) it takes a few fittings to complete the process.
