SAVE THE DATE! I am thrilled to announce our first pop-up in the new space. We will be welcoming Sophie from Botanical Yarn to the shop on Friday, Aug 7th from 11am to 3pm. Sophie will have knit and crochet samples + kits, plus a variety of yarn for purchase! How fun! As in previous years, Wool & Waves will be participating in a couple of out of town events this summer and we hope to see you there!

The Entwined Market is held at Langford Station and it has quickly become one of my favourite events to vend at. This outdoor event gets bigger and better each year! Please note that Wool & Waves will have modified hours on the weekend of July 17 & 18.

On Friday, August 7th please join me in welcoming Sophie from Botanical Yarns! Sophie is visiting from the UK and will have her gorgeous yarns with her! I am thrilled to host Sophie at the shop for a trunk show from 11 AM to 3 PM!

I can't wait to open the doors of our new shop! I am waiting on The Village of Cumberland to issue our updated business license, ultimately giving us the green light to flip the sign to OPEN! Until then, the online store is running, business as usual.
Fingers crossed we won't have to wait too much longer!

How lucky am I to be taking over 2698 Dunsmuir Avenue here in Cumberland from the lovely JoAnne, the owner of Jipsi tree. JoAnne has had her store here in Cumberland for many years and while the day to day of her shop is changing, she isn't closing up shop entirely! She is moving her sewing studio into her home where she will continue to design and sew her much loved clothing line.
We look forward to visiting JoAnne at her pop-up shops and supporting her soon to be released Nay.chr brand! I can't resist handmade soaps and candles!

The Changing of the Guard, Passing the Torch, Out With the Old - In With the New....whatever we want to call it, today was the day! Jipsi tree is officially vacated from 2698 Dunsmuir Ave! JoAnne is so excited to pass the keys over to Christine of Wool and Waves Yarn Store! Christine owns this beautiful yarn shop that she has managed out of her garage in Cumberland for several years. Help JoAnne welcome Christine to 2698 Dunsmuir Ave, and please make sure you support her!

JIPSI TREE will continue on its path from JoAnne's home where she will continue to make her beautiful clothing line, plus she will soon be launching the new nay.chr brand!

Ready to go!? Christine picked up the keys to the new (soon to be) Wool & Waves Yarn Store and can't wait to show you what we're bringing to life! After 5.5 years of being online and offering private shopping appointments, we're so excited for the opportunity to welcome you into our cozy new yarn store, right here in Cumberland, BC! Christine has so much more to tell you, but for now, let's leave it here as she (with the help of family & friends) start to turn our spot on Dunsmuir Avenue into your next destination & of course, local yarn store!!
