Holy Redeemer Art Show Patronising the Arts! With prizes available for any visual art medium from Grenfell students, with $500 for 1st, $300 for 2nd, and $150.

For all Grenfell Campus Students! Holy Redeemer Parish - the Cathedral on Mt. Bernard - is sponsoring an Art Gallery and Show. Any visual medium is acceptable, with judging done by artists from Corner Brook. Only one criterion: the Theme is Marian Devotion. Prizes
$500 - 1st
$300 - 2nd
$150 - 3rd

The is also a way to help needy remote communities. The prizes are purchases of your art, which w

ill be sent up to Toronto and auctioned for the support of remote communities. You are free to display and sell your pieces on display in the Cathedral - an excellent venue. The display week will be from Nov. 23rd - 28th! Suggested Media so far have included:
Paintings
Sculpture
Glass
Pottery and Ceramics
Textile
Aboriginal Traditional Carving

Come out, get your work known, sell your work, join the long tradition of Church patronage of the arts, meet some wonderful people, win some prizes, and help needy communities!

Hey everyone! The Art Gallery and Show is back for its Second Year!
Open to All Grenfell Students!
Cash Prizes of $500, $300, & $150

Last Year had art seen by hundreds in Corner Brook, on TV, online, were judged by professional artists, and displayed at the CMIC Gala in Toronto!

Any medium of art you care to contribute! Open to people of all faiths! Multiple entries are accepted!

The art entered was so good that there has been a tie, so I am scrambling to find an extra artist tonight to serve as the tie breaker!

Judging to come next week!
We've got some great Corner Brook artists as the judges. It keeps me out of the loop, which I think makes it more fair. Plus, they're professionals.
All of them are, or have been, resident artists of the City of Corner Brook.
