Max Amini Returns To The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto!
Four sold-out shows in 2025 made one thing clear: Toronto audiences have a lot of love for Max Amini. Now, his October 17 performance is sold out, and an added show on Friday, October 16 gives fans another chance to see him live.
For Amini, the audience is part of the comedy. Known for his quick-thinking crowd work, he turns conversations with fans into spontaneous exchanges that give each performance its own personality. A simple introduction can become the starting point for an unexpected story, with his improvisational style keeping the room involved.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, and raised in a family with Persian heritage, Amini draws on family relationships, cultural differences and social observations in his comedy. His expressive impressions and storytelling bring familiar situations to life, finding humour in experiences that connect across backgrounds.
His career began on the Los Angeles comedy scene in 2002. While studying at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, he developed his comedic voice at the Los Angeles Improv before becoming a resident comic at Hollywood’s Laugh Factory. That foundation in live performance remains central to his approach today: responding to the people in front of him and following wherever the conversation leads.
With four sold-out performances last year and October 17 now sold out, Toronto fans continue to show up for Amini. Whether you joined us last year or have only seen his crowd-work clips online, the added October 16 show is your opportunity to experience his comedy in person.
