We had a very exciting start to our work week and look so forward to the weekend.
So far this week we have had many customers come from across Canada, many people finding out that they can buy and we can ship to you if you don’t feel comfortable taking it on a plane or a drive.
We had one novice potter that had a great visit with Robert calling us back to get a chosen piece she just could not quite decide on during the visit but YES, she wanted the piece reason being she loved the story behind it! So a write up of that pieces creation will go with it! That will make a great addition when talking to the piece!❤️
We had quite a few people in to enjoy demonstrations while Robert was working on teapots, hugmugs, spoon jars latte and bowls!
Robert was down to his reclaimed clay as our shipment of clay mistakenly got diverted to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and waiting for the boat to come back to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
It finally made its way to Hope River, PEI! 😃 we wete pretty happy with that!
So besides the Studio filling up with dark wet greenware drying, Robert has spent a lot of time dipping, brushing and spraying his glazes unloading bisque and loading up big DraGon!
Last night we had an amazing kiln opening with lot’s a newly created swirls, some lovely platters, Beau Maris winter scene mugs and Island Landscape ware!
The blues and the greens are exceptional and each unique piece tells a story! I can just imagine little people walking in Monet/vanGogh landscapes as I gaze at each cup and bowl!
It is always very exciting to open up the kiln and see all the shiny colours as they reveal themselves shelf after shelf and of course Robert rings the big bowls that floods the quiet studio with amazing sounds
And he checks over each and every piece to see what the glazes have done under DraGONs furry breath!
Congratulations Robert on another successful, beautiful and perfect kiln opening!
DraGON is working and doing his job here at the Robert McMillan pottery Studio Ginette Arsenault and we are glad to have him after working so hard for you at
Poterie Ginette Arsenault!
He is a great help for little Phoenix!
So while we busy ourselves with Demo Day Friday, today from 1-3pm, get orders ready for our stores, and I decorate more tiles and bee sippers, we look forward to seeing you and having you visit us here in the gallery and walk our studio floors to see how Robert McMillan makes his unique pieces with multicolour glazes.
You will not only have beautiful pieces to choose from but you will also have the stories to go along with your pieces on how they were made!
See you soon! We’ll have a good time then ❤️ we’ll keep you posted!
