Keep that look….

Adding the caption to this video made me realize I say this a lot when I am posing clients for their portraits.

My favorite thing to hear from a client is ‘I don’t know how to pose’… it’s why I am the expert in this.
Poses to flatter your body type, expressions and little details that go unnoticed but help create the perfect pose.

Chi’s session was fabulous! Loved the use of one of your custom canvas backdrops and the wooden box.

Been offline for a minute. Life happening and I thought to myself how do I get back to posting? Do i need to write a note saying why i was off, considering i had only a handful of people reach out when they noticed i wasn’t online..

So here i am, back to the social programming of posting my work, images created for people who not only appreciate good art and are willing to share their being with me but also back to staying consistent with social media despite life happening in the backgrounds.

Sessions have been ongoing, June & July has very few weekdays left to book in… I am not gonna lie loved being away. That social pressure to post my work was off.

These portraits are part of the collection created for in our Calgary portrait studio. This box set is so stunning and can’t wait to share more from it.

She fully trusted the experience to the Portrait Genie in Calgary.

I am often referred to as the One light girl by my peers and it’s not without reason. I strongly believe that every portrait should draw you in. Lighting sets the tone of the image, the emotions, its takes a level of mastery to create lighting that fits every body type.

Happy Mother’s Day from BK Portrait Studio.

They fill our minds so much, what do they eat, wear, when they go quiet in the house we wonder if a mischief has happened.

Motherhood! Such a blessing and yet such a responsibility that takes us into different emotions we can’t explain.

It’s hard to leave an impression on me.
I would say mostly because the more I meet people the more I can read and understand people.

Dr Jane, who is a Medical Doctor & Director at AHS; has a meekness that came with her presence. Nothing like a woman who wields such authority but is so humble. The combination of power and humility is a trait that’s so so hard to come by.

We had a total of 5 outfits from Formal wears for corporates profiles to more celebratory outfits as shared. It was a pleasure creating for her late October 2025.

Excited to work with women like her who have built, grown in their fields and remain so meek in heart.

Stephanie made the maternity session booking for his gorgeous wife. We discussed outfits and all the other little details. The care and attention between the two was so beautiful to see.

Their session was filled with such a calmness that I haven’t seen in a while.

Often times I am asked what my Bespoke Portrait Experience looks like.

Kehinde Olupitan reached out to me to create noteworthy portraits for her Milestone 40th Birthday Portraits.

She had some outfits ideas and shared with me. I then suggested some outfits, tweaked some of the ones she had and created a Mood-board to fit her body type, personality & the Glam feel she wanted. Color choice, hair, light setup to fit the looks.

She wanted the BK Classic Portraits; I am glad with the reviews from her she got exactly that. She did a total of 4 outfits and this two were fully created and styled by BK. Check out that Hair suggestion for the Pink Outfit.
