🪡We are Sarah and Charlotte Batty, and we run Bits of Batty. Our favourite eco friendly practice is using reclaimed/vintage/dead stock materials in our sewn items.

🐛Run by one creepy crawly who can’t pick a hobby. From Tunisian crochet tapestries to prints, pins, keychains and even the occasional taxidermy, I’ve done it all. All my art is inspired by creatures often unloved, like bugs and vermin to show them in another light.

🎀At its core, Kind Band Co believes small, mindful choices matter. From responsible sourcing to small-batch production, our brand prioritizes quality over quantity and ethics over fast fashion. We strive to make headbands, scarves and beanies that feel as good to wear as they do to make. Guided by the tagline Soft on Hair. Soft on the Earth., every piece is made to be gentle enough for all-day wear for even the most sensitive scalps.

✨My favourite sustainable practice that I use in my business is making products from plants that I grow. I only have a small plot of land, but what I do have I’ve tried to re-wild. I use sustainable soil
practices, grow many native and drought-tolerant plants, and provide animal and insect habitats. Making botanical products from plants that I connect with is pure magic.

🪡Molly is an Alaskan living in Calgary for the last year and a half and loving it! “I am a hobby sewist and thrifter and I’m passionate about reworking thrifted materials into my projects. Not only do I love keeping vintage textiles out of landfills, I love making one of a kind pieces to give them a new life!”

🪡Kait is a Métis artisan from Central Alberta who creates one-of-a-kind dolls. Each doll has its own personality and is looking for the right home! Along with dolls you’ll find tiny handmade clothes to accessorize your doll; everything from rompers to ribbon skirts! As a proud Métis Kait also dabbles in beading and caribou tufting. She strongly believes in connection through art and creating.

🧵Layered Impressions is a small embroidery business creating nature inspired designs rooted in thoughtful, intentional making and low waste production. She works in small batches and carefully considers each piece from start to finish, with a focus on quality, detail, and sustainability.

🧼”We’re thoughtful about what we add to Basosi. Every product needs to fit our zero-waste values, from what it’s made with to how it’s packaged. Sometimes that means taking longer to find the right option, and we’re okay with that.”

🕯️At Bougie Kyomi we are always looking for ways to make both our products and our processes more environmentally friendly. From selecting materials thoughtfully and reusing materials wherever possible to how we produce and package our products, we’re continually looking for ways to reduce waste and energy use and make more sustainable choices.

🧶Fixation Fibre & Function is a Calgary-based handmade business where I create one-of-a-kind bags, accessories, and small-batch hand-dyed yarns. Many of my products incorporate upcycled clothing and reclaimed textiles, giving beautiful materials a second life. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to be both functional and unique.

☀️Cut by S*M, art glass. “I have always been attracted to shiny things. So why not Stained Glass?! I am an 18 year stained glass artist who loves to work with vibrant colours and textures. I try to keep my art accessible, as I think everyone should have glass art to brighten up their homes.”

🧸Plush Dream Studio makes handmade crochet plushies and bouquets with lots of care and attention to detail. Every piece is created by hand, making each item unique and special. Their goal is to create cozy, memorable gifts that bring comfort and happiness to people of all ages.

🪢Every Hipknotic piece starts with 100% recycled cotton rope, so there’s no virgin material going into anything I make. I also produce in small batches to order rather than stockpiling inventory, which keeps waste low and means every piece has an actual home waiting for it.

🌱Growing plants has been a healing journey for me, and Lil Leafy is my way of sharing it with others. Each plant is rooted in gratitude, and every terrarium is crafted with love. The terrarium’s very life cycle, as every material is compostable and reusable- from the plants propagated to the glass containers used.

✂️Cuccocollage is a scavenger of treasures by nature. They love to archive, save, and repurpose. Their background is in video production but I’ve always been an avid film photographer and reader. Somehow all of these attributes collided in the form of collage in 2020 and they’ve been making ever since. Their art is inspired by human emotions, and experiences, that repeat across decades.

🌎They try not to waste anything, all of their collages create scraps, and they save as much as they can and use them in cards, paintings, or magnets. They mainly sell originals (one of a kind), they don’t rely on prints or copies outside of a few digital collages that are made using scans from the physical material.

👽Jubilee’s Intergalactic Pet Rescue is full of colourful & quirky alien stuffies waiting to be adopted.

🌎Her favourite eco friendly practice is buying old clothes & pillows from thrift stores & turning them into something new.

📿Beautiful Raven creates cozy knitwear and traditional Indigenous beadwork that honors culture, skill, and storytelling. They thrift beads and yarn to use in their work.
