📢 Calgary Arab Festival 2025 Announcement✨️
This year was meant to be a special one ,the 10th anniversary of the Calgary Arab Festival. We had been preparing a joyful and meaningful celebration to honor our culture and community.
But as Arabs living in the diaspora, we cannot ignore the deep pain our people are enduring. From Gaza to Sudan, Syria, and Lebanon , our hearts are heavy with the suffering, the injustice, and the loss of innocent lives.
Out of respect for the martyrs in Gaza , the children, women, and families who have been lost ,and in solidarity with all those affected across the Arab world, we have made the difficult decision to pause the festival this year.
We believe in the importance of keeping our culture alive, and we hope to come back next year with peace and justice in our homelands, and with hearts ready to celebrate again.

كان من المفترض أن نحتفل هذا العام بالنسخة العاشرة من المهرجان العربي في كالغاري، وكنا نُحضّر لاحتفالية مميزة نُكرّم بها ثقافتنا وهويتنا.
لكن كعرب في الغربة، لا يمكننا تجاهل الألم الذي تعيشه أوطاننا، خاصة في غزة، حيث يُستشهد الأبرياء من أطفال ونساء وعائلات، إلى جانب المعاناة المستمرة في لبنان وسوريا والسودان.
احتراماً لأرواح الشهداء، وتضامناً مع أهلنا، قررنا تأجيل المهرجان هذا العام، على أمل أن نعود في العام المقبل والأمل بالسلام والعدالة يملأ قلوبنا.
نشكركم على تفهّمكم، ونتمنى أن نلتقي قريباً في ظروفٍ أفضل.
