SURPRISE!!!

Paulo Rage has returned to the SYRYN ship!!

The look when the riff crashes in like a tidal wave and everything suddenly makes sense.

We have been holding onto this one for a while, waiting for the right moment to finally share it.

As one of the original founding members, Paul helped shape the sound, the energy, and the identity of SYRYN from the very beginning. The love, the chemistry, the riffs, and the chaos on stage all started there, and having him back in the fold feels like something powerful has been reignited.

To say we are excited would be a massive understatement. We cannot wait for everyone to see and hear what comes next.

With this announcement also comes a change in the crew. Kerry is no longer with the band. We thank him for the time he sailed with SYRYN and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Today we celebrate a return.
The tide has turned.
The cannons are loaded.
The original energy rises again.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we recognize two incredible forces behind SYRYN, Sloan Voxx and Alyxus Rose.

In a scene that hasn’t always made space for women, Sloan and Lyxx don’t just show up, they command it. Through their music, their presence, and their relentless dedication, they embody resilience, power, passion, and authenticity.

But what truly stands out is the love they carry for this world. Not just the music itself, but the experiences and memories that come with it. The energy of a live crowd, the late nights, the shared moments, the friendships forged through heavy music, and the community that grows around it.

They represent the spirit of what this scene can be at its best: powerful, inclusive, passionate, and built on connection.

Today we celebrate them, and every woman who continues to shape heavy music, push boundaries, and bring their strength and voice to the stage. 🖤

🏴‍☠️SYRYN’S LAST SHOW OF 2025 – THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 8 @ THE REC ROOM CALGARY (ALL AGES)! 🏴‍☠️

This one means everything to us.

As many of you know, during our set at Decimate Metalfest, Sloan sustained a serious knee injury. True to form, she pushed through and finished the performance like the absolute warrior she is, but the reality of the injury has caught up, and she now needs time to fully recover.

With that in mind, we’ve made the tough decision to go on hiatus for the rest of 2025. ⚓️

BUT BEFORE WE DO... WE'RE GIVING YOU ONE FINAL SHOW.
This Friday. Calgary. Our home. One last performance before we hit pause.

This will be a powerful, intimate set featuring Sloan in a seated performance role. A different vibe, but packed with the same SYRYN spirit and fire. We'll also be sharing some big energy, gratitude, and love as we take this step back to focus on healing and finishing our third full-length album. 🪼

CALGARY — THIS IS OUR LAST SHOW OF 2025

We’ve had one hell of a year. From unforgettable festival stages to some of our most powerful performances to date, we’ve poured everything we have into this project — heart, soul, blood, and sweat.

As many of you know, Sloan sustained a serious knee injury at Decimate Metalfest. She got back up and finished the set, but since then, the severity of the injury has come to light. Recovery will take time — and we want to make sure it’s done right. Alongside that, we’re shifting our focus to finishing our third full-length album, which we are incredibly excited to bring to life.

But before we take that step back… we have ONE MORE SHOW!

Friday, August 8 at The Rec Room (All Ages)
We’ll be sharing the stage with:

Insurrection (returning from Gatineau after a 7-year wait)

Illyrian (our local shred brothers)

Godfall (rising Calgary force)

This performance will look a little different — Sloan will be seated, but we promise, the intensity and passion will be no less fierce. This will be an emotional one for us. It’s not goodbye, but it is the last chance to see us live in 2025.

We would love nothing more than to see your faces, feel your energy, and hear your voices one more time before we step away to heal and create.

FINAL SHOW OF 2025 - ANNOUNCED!

Calgary! This one’s going to be bittersweet. 🖤💜

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we’ll be sharing the stage one last time in 2025… That’s right, this will be SYRYN’s final show of the year.

As many of you know, our frontwoman Sloan recently sustained a serious knee injury during a performance. While she pushed through like the absolute warrior she is, it’s become clear she needs time to heal properly.

To accommodate her recovery, Sloan may be performing this show seated, offering a more intimate, emotionally charged experience that’s unlike anything we’ve done before. We promise it will be just as fierce and just as unforgettable.

Following this performance, we’ll be taking the rest of the year off to give Sloan the time she needs to recover fully and to focus on writing and recording our third full-length album.

We’re asking you, our amazing fans, friends, and metal family, to come raise hell with us one more time before we disappear into the depths to finish creating what’s next.
