ANNOUNCEMENT TO COMMUNITY –
Wrapping up 7 years of CCDC Activity

Dear friends,

We would like to inform you of our decision to dissolve Calgary Contemporary Dance Collective as of January 2016. We want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been involved with any CCDC activity since its inception in 2009. It’s been an honour to support the professional dance community through our 7 years of programming, from daily classes to workshops intensives with national artists and our beloved annual Dance’N Dogs event.

As independent artists, we will continue serving the development of dance in Calgary through our own artistic work and the many roles we find ourselves taking on within community and existing dance organizations.

It is inspiring to see all the initiatives taking place in our city. Let the community continue to flourish as we move onto a new year of new beginnings.

We are working to convert the CCDC page to a community posting board. Please stay tuned for future workshops presented by Make Shift Project / Pam Tzeng.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: LAB EMERGING ARTIST PROGRAM

Dancers' Studio West is seeking two pre-professional contemporary dance artists who wish to participate in the
LAB EMERGING ARTIST PROGRAM (LEAP) as part of the Dance Action Lab, supported by the Royal Bank of Canada’s Emerging Artist Program. The selected artists will train daily with the professional ensemble in technique class, and participate in rehearsal processes and performances.
