So proud of this group tonight. 🥹💎
Tonight we wrapped up our Assistant Teacher Training Program, and I’m just really proud of both this program and the dancers who completed it.
They WORKED tonight! They completed written and practical training and learned about communication, classroom management, how to demonstrate and give corrections, how to encourage younger dancers, how to take initiative, how to handle different situations that can come up in class, and what it really means to be a positive role model for the little dancers looking up to them.
And while, of course, we’re teaching them how to become great assistant teachers, I think my favourite part of this program is everything they’re learning without even realizing it.
Leadership. Communication. Responsibility. Confidence. Problem-solving. Teamwork. Empathy. 🤍
These are skills that will help them in dance, but also at school, in their first jobs, in future careers and just in LIFE.
I’ve always believed that dance can teach kids so much more than dance steps, and this program has become another way we get to do exactly that.
Very proud of our newest CSOD Assistant Teacher Training Program graduates. 💎🤍 And even more excited to watch them put everything they learned into practice this season!
