A Note From The Director of "Feels Like Home":
What an amazing summer! Thank-you to everyone involved. I never dreamed that I'd be able to pull off starting my own touring theatre company, and tour a show filled with music that I love. I'm such a proud Canadian, and it was a privilege to be able to share the music that I'm so passionate about with so many people.
Thank you so much to my wonderful cast: Laura Del Papa, Jeremy Morganty, Jennifer Howard, Daniel Hollywood-Powell, Tai Wong-Clayton, Joss MacNeil, and my incredible musical director, Gabriel Vaillant. Thank-you also to my amazing sound girl Sarah Edwards, and our awesome substitute sound girl Kelly Brazeau (also props to Kelly for being one of our biggest fans and coming out to so many shows). Thank you also to Bohdan Onushko for being a terrific understudy for Tai at the beginning of our process, and also for being an huge help every time I was overwhelmed with work!
There are several people who cannot go unnoticed: "The St. Lawrence College Friends Of Music Theatre" and "Summer Company" who both helped get me started with their contributions. Summer Company was an amazing experience, and if you are a young entrepreneur with a great idea, I highly suggest you look into Summer Company. They provide amazing opportunities for students.
A huge thank-you to our sponsors: The Brockville Employment & Education Centre, the Leeds & Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre, Keeley Moure of O'Farrell Financial Services, O'Mally Kourt Fudgery and Tait's Bakery & Deli.
Thank you as well to my entire Music Theatre - Performance faculty at St. Lawrence College for your ongoing support. Whether you came to a show, helped me with any problems I was having, or gave me some awesome advice, every bit of it was appreciated!
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone who support my crazy idea. I couldn't have done it without you all saying "You can do it!"
So friends, family, mentors, and kind strangers on the street: THANK YOU!
It's been a great summer, thank you for letting us entertain you.
Look for "Start Here Theatre Productions". I promise you, this will not be the last you hear from me!
