I’ve been thinking about our last retreat at Namastables and how quickly the day seemed to shift once everyone arrived.
At the beginning, there was lots of conversation, lots of energy and, for many of us, plenty on our minds.
But as the morning unfolded, people started to settle in.
One person shared that she was surprised by how safe she felt with the horses.
For some, the Reiki circle with the horses was a completely new experience. It ended up being one of the parts they loved most.
Another person arrived with a very busy mind and noticed that, as the day went on, she was able to let it all go and be fully present.
I loved watching that happen.
Watching the horses come over to meet everyone.
Seeing all the animals enjoy the attention, the new faces and, of course, the extra snacks.
There was laughter, good food, time outside and moments of quiet.
It was a chance to step away from the pace of everyday life and spend some time being present with the animals, in nature and with yourself.
That is what I love about these days at Namastables.
On October 10, Jacqueline and I are gathering again for a four-hour mini retreat from 10am–2pm.
We’ll spend the morning with the animals, moving through guided meditation, Reiki with the horses, time in nature and lunch together.
A morning to quiet your mind, breathe, spend time outside and give yourself some space to simply be.
