The Look Off holds a very special place in my journey as an artist. It was this view, and this painting, that first opened the door for my work to be represented by the Flight of Fancy Fine Art Gallery in Bear River. There is something about looking across the Annapolis Valley from this place that never gets old—the farmland, the distant water, and that enormous Nova Scotia sky. I wanted to capture not just what I saw, but the feeling of standing there and taking it all in. The Look Off will always be more than a painting to me—it represents a turning point.
