About 10 days ago on a night threatening frost, I picked what I was sure was the last of our sweet peas …
Tonight will definitely be frosty so I picked yet another bunch ( in the dark 😳)

I didn’t think we would get these fun ATLIN tea towels done in time for this season, but we just picked them up from the Post Office !

Lauren Waters .. who has been creating wonderful watercolour paintings of Atlin for the past few years …has done the stunning artwork, Cathie Archbould photographed the artwork to be ‘print ready’ and the 100% cotton towels were printed on Gabriola Island.

This is our last weekend before we close for the season, so come by and get a few for the perfect Atlin Christmas gifts!

UPDATE: We’ve completely SOLD OUT of the 100 tea towels we just received 3 days ago (amazing!)
We are getting another shipment in about 2 weeks. Magpie will be closed but you can either pick them up or I can mail them out to you.

This has been one of my favourite Virginia Wilson paintings all summer!
I’m surprised it’s still here but I know that winter paintings aren’t for everyone…

I love how Virginia has captured that beautiful flat light that happens just before Atlin Lake freezes …
