The money will help carry out a nationwide assessment of climate-related losses and damage, strengthening Kenya’s chances of securing more climate funding in the future and boosting its leadership role in Africa’s climate discussions.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: Somali referee Omar Artan received a hero’s welcome in Mogadishu after being denied entry to the United States 🇸🇴.

The decision stopped him from making history as the first Somali referee to officiate at a FIFA World Cup.

Hundreds of supporters gathered at the airport, waving flags and cheering his achievements.

Although he will miss the tournament, many Somalis have praised Artan as a symbol of determination, resilience, and national pride.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Nigerian music stars Rema and Davido have arrived in Los Angeles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup celebrations.

Rema will perform at the opening ceremony on June 12, while Davido is scheduled to perform at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert on June 10.

Their participation is another big achievement for Afrobeats, as two of Nigeria’s top artists showcase African music at one of the world's biggest sporting events, the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
