✨ Portrait Drawing Process – Step by Step ✨
I wanted to challenge myself with this portrait, focusing on expression, lighting, and texture. Here’s a breakdown of my process:
✏ Step 1: Basic Shapes & Guidelines
I started with a rough sphere and guidelines to establish facial proportions. Keeping the lines light helps with adjustments later.
✏ Step 2: Refining the Structure
Next, I defined the jawline, neck, and ear placement while ensuring symmetry. At this stage, the form starts taking shape.
✏ Step 3: Adding Details & Shading
Here’s where the magic happens! Using hatching and cross-hatching, I built up depth and realism, focusing on highlights and shadows to bring the portrait to life.
