🥳🎊FINALE 💃🎊

Insert 15: Coming Home*
I drove into our compound as quietly as I had left it. My mother cried. My father just nodded, but I could see the pride in his eyes. They were shocked to find out I had a son — angry at first, but the good ending gave them comfort.
Soon the compound was joyful as we unloaded the groceries I had brought.
I made it. It may have taken years. Some days were worse than others, but I still made it.
A lone tear escaped my eye as I watched my parents play building blocks with Praise.

Insert 14: It’s Not Over If There Is Hope*
It was time for the truth — for my six-year-old son to meet my parents, who knew nothing about his existence. This time, I wasn’t going home on a bus, but in a car of my own. It wasn’t fancy, but I was still proud of myself. My hard work hadn’t been in vain.

*Insert 13: My Own Place*
When Praise turned two, I left my uncle’s house secretly, leaving him a note: “Don’t look for me.” I expected him to worry and run to my parents, but he never cared.
Two years later I went home. My life was stable and I was happy. My father had recovered and could talk and move, though he still needed support when walking.

📖 Diary ka Sinokuthula 📖

*Insert 12: Freedom*
My uncle’s long and frequent business trips helped me hide my son and successfully set everything up. Miss Dube always encouraged me to tell my parents I had a child, but I did not. I had a dream to chase, and disappointing them was not part of it.
Though Praise’s father denied him, I still loved him. He was my blessing, my little bundle of joy, and I was determined to raise him.

*Insert 11: A Miracle in a Mess*
I finally passed my exams. Soon after, I gave birth to my son, Praise. It wasn’t easy, but Thandi, my teacher’s only daughter, stood by me through it all. She helped me care for my newborn while I ran around trying to get things done.

Insert 10: Good People Are Rare, But They Are There*
One evening, the teacher saw me with my books and asked if I needed help. I was shocked because I’d thought she never cared or noticed.
“You can come to my house for extra study time whenever you can,” she added, shaking me further.
“Why?” I blurted out before I could stop myself.
“Because I was once there, desperate for help, and I’m here because God sent someone to help me.”
True to her word, she let me come to her house, and she started bringing me extra food. It was the first time someone helped me without asking for anything in return.

Insert 9: Hiding in the Dark*
I copied notes by candlelight after the dishes were done, hiding my books under the mat so Uncle Delvin wouldn’t see.
Months passed. My hands grew rough, my sleep grew short, and the money I earned was never enough to send home. I wrote letters telling them how good life was in the city, that my phone was damaged, and that my uncle had promised to buy me a new one if I passed my exams. My heart broke with each word I wrote. The lies never ended.

Insert 8: Betrayal
During my studies, I met a boy. I thought he loved me until I got pregnant. He denied the child and disappeared, leaving me to hide my pregnancy from my uncle and my parents while I struggled to keep studying.

Insert 7: Making Lemonade Out of the Lemons*
Then I made a bold decision. I sold my phone — the only means of communication I had with my parents, the only link I had to the outside world — and I used the money to buy perfumes. They were small, non-perishable, and easy to carry. That’s when it all began.
I was a street vendor in the afternoon, a house maid in the morning, and a student at night. I learned the city streets and found a night school three streets away.

📖Diary ka Sinokuthula📖

Insert 6: A Rose Blooming Among Thorns*
But I was still the bright village girl who had left home to make her parents proud. So I kept the books in my bag. I memorized my timetable. I studied Uncle Delvin’s movements and habits like a lion stalking its prey.
