Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck graciously presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Project YŪM between the sister organizations Royal Textile Academy and RENEW. YŪM is an initiative focused on women’s empowerment and the advancement of slow fashion for the global market.
The project envisions YŪM as a distinctive textile brand that seamlessly integrates heritage, innovation, sustainability, and women’s empowerment. It seeks to position YŪM as a globally recognized brand aligned with international standards, offering high-value slow-fashion products while setting a benchmark for ethical, culturally rooted, and socially impactful enterprise.
