This week, as part of my duties as Multimedia Officer at the Department of Education (Bahamas), I taught a session on social media, branding, and storytelling. The collaboration with the Department of Culture through Moya Thompson, Cultural Officer for Film was a perfect integration,
My job includes training students and educators on social media and digital literacy. I facilitate using culture, sociology skills as a Religious Studies educator, Language Arts skills, and the way they all intersect with social media literacy.
This session focused on film students telling their personal brand stories thematically through color, pattern, community involvement, consistency, and, of course, social responsibility.
These are the assignments that I find rewarding and inspiring. These are the assignments that remind me of why I'm here, and they make staying in purpose and on task clear and worth every single investment of time and tears worth it.
