I want this to live on my page and not just in the stories. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything about the s**t that bothers me.
We’ve been made to feel numb toward the injustices of Black folks. Our killings have been televised and the perps are rewarded with slaps on the wrist, same as it’s always been. Where a young brother was sentenced to 30 years for protecting himself from becoming another Nolan Wells. Where Black bodies are being picked off the trees like the strange fruit Billie spoke of. And somehow the world continues to pretend that Black skin isn’t frowned upon no matter where the f**k you go…………………………
Different country. Different language. Different laws. Same s**t.
I refuse to accept that the continued violence against us is something that we’re just supposed to learn to live with. And they want us to sit up here and act like we don’t see what’s happening?
“Stay in your place, boy!” “Oh, she’s an angry Black woman!” Well you know what?
Yes. The. F**k. I. Am. Angry. BITCH!
I’m pi**ed off!!!!!!
Because how do we, as Black people, know that we won’t be next? They been playing in our faces and I don’t like that. Smh.
