During our recent clean-ups, one of the most common items we found was simple white water bottle lids. Dozens of them. 🤍♻️

They’re everywhere… which means they’re also one of the easiest materials to collect for eco-art projects.

Think: a coral reef scene, a textured sculpture, a patterned wall piece, or even a full 3D build.

Grand Bahama students—start saving what you find and start creating. 🎨

What a fantastic day for Grand Bahama! 🌿✨

BNT’s National Parks Day at the Rand Nature Centre this past Saturday was a phenomenal success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate nature, creativity, and community.

We were thrilled to see so many students sign up for the FROM WASTE, WE CREATE! Eco-Art Contest, and the energy around the initiative was truly inspiring. ♻️🎨

A special highlight of the day was Veronica Ellis’ Eco Fashion Show. Her stunning designs were a powerful reminder that with imagination and intention, discarded materials can be transformed into something truly beautiful.

We’re also grateful for the amazing support and engagement around BERI’s interactive litter display and beach bucket clean-up stations, and for the incredible work of Lucaya International School’s Collaborative Science Project, which sparked meaningful conversations with visitors throughout the day.

🌿 If you missed the event on Saturday, don’t worry!

The Reclaimed Materials Exhibit and Lucaya International School’s Collaborative Science Project will remain on display through the end of the week, so be sure to stop by the Rand Nature Centre Art Gallery and check it out!

A huge thank you to the and all of the organizations, volunteers, students, and community members who helped make the day so special. 💚🌴

We also extend a special thank you to the sponsors of the FROM WASTE, WE CREATE! Student Eco-Art Competition. Your support is empowering young creatives and environmental leaders right here in Grand Bahama. .bahama.port.authority

Grand Bahama is full of vision, talent, and hope, and this weekend proved it.

Instead of leaving them behind, collect them… and turn them into art that makes people stop and think. 🎨🔥
