This is my second Asymmetrical Elf, this time in a bamboo version. I made this pipe for the Chicago show, but I wasn’t able to finish it in time to bring it with me. I ended up completing it after I got back to Brazil. I hope you all like it!

I’m back in Brazil after spending some incredible days with dear friends. The days leading up to the show are always hectic — lots of pipes to finish and plenty of work to do. But arriving in is the best reward imaginable. The people, the friends, the tent, the to***co, the drinks… everything feels magical! Man, I love this so much. Pipe people really are the best.

It’s always so good to reconnect with old friends and make new ones along the way. Thank you to everyone who stopped by Table 40 to support my work, and thank you for all the great moments we shared together. I could mention countless friends here, but it wouldn’t be fair if I accidentally left someone out. If you spent time with me over these past few days, know that I’m talking about you!
I already can’t wait to see you all again soon!

I got this message from a client and friend with an interesting idea: “Hey man, would you be willing to take a shot at a Walrus shape for me? Maybe with a bit of a twist on the classic? Instead of the classic basic design, feel free to use your own designs, for instance, integrating your elf or shield shape somehow or something else!”

Anyone who knows me knows I love this kind of challenge, so I started sketching out some ideas on paper. I didn’t want to stray too far from the classic Walrus shape, but instead blend it with my Elf shape.

After going back and forth with the customer, this is the final result. What do you guys think? What should I call it? An Elfish Walrus?
