Pela primeira vez, mulheres indígenas ocupam a linha de frente da maior expedição de vigilância territorial da região. As monitoras etnoambientais se unem na limpeza das picadas que demarcam os limites da Terra Indígena, uma travessia pela floresta que é, ao mesmo tempo, resistência e transformação.

Mais do que uma ação de campo, este é um marco:�um novo capítulo na proteção do território e na afirmação do protagonismo feminino indígena.

In the Javari Valley Indigenous Territory, a historic movement begins to carve new paths.

For the first time, Indigenous women take the front line in the region’s largest territorial surveillance expedition. Ethno-environmental monitors come together to clear the forest trails that mark the boundaries of their land a journey through the forest that is, at once, resistance and transformation.

More than a field operation, this is a milestone:�a new chapter in protecting the territory and affirming Indigenous women’s leadership.

O curta venceu o “Special Award Renata Viviani” e recebeu Menção Honrosa do Júri Internacional no Sondrio International Film Festival (Itália). Também foi semifinalista de Melhor Curta Documentário no Berlin Shorts Award (Alemanha) e indicado ao prestigiado Panda Awards no Wildscreen Festival (Inglaterra), considerado o “Oscar” do cinema de natureza.
