'A YUGI-THEMED ALBUM'?! 😮🎵

ICYMI: During the Master Duel Stream for the "Shadow Duelist" event, former "One Direction" star and Multi-Platinum Selling Record Artist, Singer and Songwriter, "Zayn Malik" shared that he'd give a style of an early 2000s rock song if he were to write a theme song for Yu-Gi-Oh!

"Just kind of keep it in the iconic era where all these cartoons kind of started with their music," the artist said. "Just something catchy and high energy, and something that encapsulates the heroic energy of the show", he added.

During the discussion, he joked that he'd call his next album "Yami Yugi".

"I'm gonna call my next album Yami Yugi".

During the stream, Zayn shared that he has been into Yu-Gi-Oh! since he was around six or seven years old and has collected cards and loved "Dark Magician", "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", and "Exodia".

: During the Master Duel Stream, the event hosts "Steve Kangas" and "Billy Brake" interviewed Zayn Malik about his history and experience with Yu-Gi-Oh!

Zayn shared that he loves the Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime as well particularly the rivalry between Yugi and Kaiba.

He also showed his Yu-Gi-Oh! Binder from when he was young and admired his card. He also noted that his favorite card is "Shooting Star Dragon".

"It's just one of my most powerful cards. That's why I like it so much," the singer said.

He also showed a copy of "Shooting Quasar Dragon" on the stream and also noted that despite these cards' connection with Stardust cards, Zayn said that they didn't inspire his song "Stardust." "It's a complete coincidence," he laughed.

'DID ANYONE GUESS IT RIGHT?' 😮

LOOK: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel hosted the Shadow Duelist tournament finals with special guest Nocturn, a masked celebrity who turned out to be music artist and former "One Direction" member, Zayn Malik.

Zayn wore the mask and gloves, and used a voice changer throughout the stream to hide his identity before revealing himself at the 1:18 mark of the stream.

Zayn talked about learning the game and playing the character after his reveal, detailing how he fell in love with the series. Then, the hosts asked about his life and what was next for the musical star.

“I’m dabbling a little bit with South-Asian sound. So I’m making some records, like singing in a completely different language, which is really interesting and proves difficult at different points. But it’s a challenge, and I like a challenge,” he said on stream.
